Tzvi Rauch wasn’t always the business leader he is today. He was once a 15- year-old with a list of THIRTY job ideas for himself. So how did he end up in landscaping? From the time he moved from Brooklyn’s concrete to the green of Monsey when he was thirteen years old, he has loved the outdoors and landscaping. Living in Monsey gave him the chance to use his natural “green thumb”. It also led eventually to spark the idea for his amazingly successful business Tier II Landscape Design.
When he first went out to work, he started by knocking on doors and
“ Do you want a tree for your roof?” (flat roofs only!) And surprisingly, many people did. He found that people were hungry for the peace and relaxation that a nice outdoor space gives them.
Today his business employs 18 people, including a landscape architect, and is bringing peace and beauty to locations throughout Brooklyn and NJ. Tier II does a lot more than bring in potted plants. They design
your whole outdoor space specializing in utilizing rooftop spaces that some of which haven’t been in a century! It can begin with the flooring, to swimming pools, to lighting, furniture, greenery, and design elements that make the space feel larger because Tier II aren’t snobs- they do small projects as well as larger ones!
Not bad for a kid who went knocking on doors when he was 18, right?
