Yaakov Gluck of The Contractor’s Office
Because business isn’t just about what you know, it’s about who you know.
Yaakov Gluck wasn’t always the owner of a business with a staff of ten, serving forty businesses. He tried out a number of jobs on his way to this one, even working for the CEO of EL Al, Kenny Rosenberg, where he learned a lot about keeping books- one of the key services he offers his clients today. But for Yaakov, a long-time Hatzolah member, the goal has never been just about making a living. It’s about helping others to do it too.
Yaakov’s brother is a landscaper, and he’s very good at what he does. But like many blue-collar workers, managing the office work was a struggle and affected his cash flow. Yaakov realized there were a lot of people just like him- talented, hard-working guys who were always strapped for cash because they just didn’t know their books and how to run the technical side of their businesses. They couldn’t afford to hire staff- and even if they did they couldn’t train them to help with what they themselves didn’t know. Yaakov was working as a director of finance in a big company, and one day he realized something. He was helping the big guys- and he knew they would do just fine without him.
That’s when he realized his mission was to help the little guys, the startups, and the small to mid-sized businesses where his help could really change everything.
And so The Contractor’s Office was born.
TCO takes the headache out of running your business because they become your office. Many startups have no idea what’s going on in their books- if they actually have any. They can be great service providers, but they have no idea how to run the technical side of things. That’s where Yaakov comes in. There’s no need to rent office space, hire staff, or outsource CFO services. They do everything a fully staffed office would do- from answering calls to financials. It’s an amazingly innovative idea- and forty businesses to date, think so too. They’ve retained TCO’s services and that frees them to do what they do best- and make money doing it!
