At the OJBA Mid-Atlantic Expo, founder Avi explained why panel replacements are a critical focus. “We replace outdated fuse panels and Federal Pacific panels,” he said. “They don’t trip the way they should… and in many cases, insurance companies won’t cover buildings that still use them.” Replacing them not only protects the structure… it ensures clients meet safety codes and insurance requirements.
To demonstrate the issue, Avi brought in a real panel pulled from a client’s home — a 40+ year-old unit with dangerous wiring. “Two days after we took out this panel, the client called saying their kitchen breakers kept tripping,” Avi shared. “Their old panel never tripped because it was Federal Pacific. Now they have a panel that protects them the way it’s supposed to.”
AMP also handles EV charger installations for both single-family and multi-family properties. They work with homeowner-supplied chargers (like Tesla) and can also design and install full charging setups. “A lot of times companies get grants for solar, and those grants require that they put in EV chargers to get the full funding,” Avi explained. “We can come in and help them finish their grant by putting in the EV chargers.”
