Hot Water That’s Halachically Sound —and Always Ready

Shmuel Perlman of Vaser Solutions

For frum families, running out of hot water before Hadlakas Neiros isn’t just inconvenient — it raises halachic concerns.

And in a packed shul on Yom Tov, with dozens of kohanim lined up to wash before duchening, the last few in line might be left without hot water.

That’s where Vaser Solutions comes in.

At the OJBA Mid-Atlantic Expo, founder Shmuel — a master plumber— shared how he spent nearly 20 years developing a system that makes hot water easier to access on Shabbos — without workarounds or guesswork.

“We sat down with the Star-K and Rav Heinemann,” he said, “and went through every halachic challenge… and how to avoid them.”

The system switches into Shabbos mode automatically, using GPS to track location and zmanim. The water is maintained at 117–118°F year-round… just below yad soledes, as defined by the Star-K’s approved threshold of 120°F. Even single-handle faucets can be used without needing to worry.

If the power goes out, the system resets itself automatically using GPS or Wi-Fi —no manual setup needed. “We built this for real life,” Shmuel said. “You shouldn’t have to think about it.”

Each unit is built to order. “We call them snowflakes,” he added. Installation is handled by Vaser or approved plumbing partners. Most components are sourced through Ferguson Plumbing Supply, a nationwide distributor. This allows Vaser to drop-ship systems quickly across the U.S.

Developed over two decades and finalized in consultation with the Star-K and Rav Heinemann, Vaser offers a halachically sound solution for today’s homes, kehillos, and builds.

Watch Shmuel explain how Vaser keeps hot water flowing — the right way.
