Built In-House, Start to Finish
Avrumi Wulliger of Closetry Custom Closets
Closets aren’t large spaces — but they’re used constantly. People notice pretty quickly when the layout doesn’t match the way they actually live.
Closetry Custom Closets focuses on that problem directly: how to make a small space work better.
The company handles the entire process — designing, building, and installing custom closet systems, along with laundry rooms, pantries, and other built-in storage.
It starts with a site visit: taking measurements, talking through the layout with the client, and producing 3D renderings before anything is built.
Once the layout is finalized, materials are cut and assembled at the company’s manufacturing facility in Toms River, and installation is handled by their own teams.
“There’s no middleman — no hiccups on the way,” said Avrumi Wulliger. “We do everything from beginning till the end.”
Keeping everything in-house also keeps costs down. Because design, production, and installation all stay in-house, there’s no markup passing between vendors — and when adjustments or replacements come up, they’re handled quickly.
Some projects are straightforward. A playroom closet might just need shelving. A bedroom closet usually brings up a different set of questions — how much hanging space, how many drawers, whether the layout fits a child’s room or a primary.
More customized projects can involve lighting, glass doors, shaker doors, and custom backing.
That level of customization carries into larger projects as well. In one of their larger projects in the Deal area, they worked through a high volume of closets, each requiring different configurations depending on how the space was intended to be used.
Closetry has been operating for nearly a decade. At OJBA this year, it was their first time exhibiting — and for Wulliger, the value wasn’t immediate bookings. It was meeting contractors, designers, and people already working in construction.
“It’s the amount of people that we meet,” he said.
Watch Avrumi walk through how Closetry approaches custom closet design — from the first measurement to the finished install.
