Anyone who’s been to OJBA has seen the Homecore Team. They’ve been sponsors since 2018. But that’s no surprise, since recognizing a great opportunity whether it’s a service to offer (they’ve recently launched Homecore Liquidators) or an amazing trade show to attend.
Homecore, led by Ben Stark and Avi Klinger, is in the business of inspections. As anyone who’s ever tried to do construction in NYC knows, the city keeps a tight eye on construction and doesn’t have too much tolerance for noncompliance. And that’s how Homecore was built. Homecore’s innovation is their inspection service by veteran inspectors. Property owners can rest easy knowing Homecore will catch the problems before the city does. Stop work orders are VERY expensive and a HUGE headache to untangle. An ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure when it comes to this!
NYC’s strict inspection laws have only gotten stricter in recent years with full-time safety superintendents required on smaller jobs as well as larger ones. But the city is surprisingly generous about the number of projects an inspector can inspect as they spot-check frequently. So Homecore’s “chap” was to hire licensed individuals and fill all their spots. It’s a win for the property owners and Homecare too. And the 90+ workers who make up their team!
