Outsourced Finance That Works Like an In-House Team
Yumi Sebbag of CoFinance
Most businesses reach a point where the owner can’t manage the books alone — but hiring a full finance team doesn’t make sense yet.
CoFinance steps in at that point. Operating out of Montvale, New Jersey, the company provides bookkeeping, accounting, and CFO services… functioning as an outsourced finance department rather than an outside vendor.
Yumi Sebbag explained the approach simply: “We become a team member in your company.”
That collaborative structure is reflected in the company’s name. The “Co” in CoFinance signals partnership — working alongside businesses rather than at arm’s length. For clients, that means consistent financial oversight without adding full-time staff.
CoFinance has been operating for five years and now works with more than 100 clients across a range of industries. The focus is on giving business owners clear visibility into cash flow, reliable reporting, and ongoing financial guidance… while handling the details that often pull attention away from day-to-day operations.
This was CoFinances’ first year exhibiting at OJBA. Yumi said the decision came after hearing about the results other exhibitors experienced in previous years.
When asked how he measures success at the show, Yumi’s answer was direct: “It’s a seed. It’s seed planting.”
The emphasis, he explained, is on follow-up — using the days after the show to reconnect and continue conversations. “The most important part of the show is the day after the show,” he noted, reflecting the same long-term approach CoFinance brings to client relationships.
Throughout the day, conversations focused on financial organization, ongoing guidance, and how businesses can access CFO-level support without making a full-time hire.
Hear Yumi Sebbag talk about how CoFinance supports businesses as an extension of their financial team.
