Knowing Where the Fleet Is — in Real Time

Meyer Dresdner of High Point GPS

For companies managing vehicles in the field, uncertainty adds up quickly. A missed pickup, a delayed crew, or a dispute about timing can all trace back to the same issue: not knowing exactly where equipment and vehicles are at any given moment.

That’s the problem High Point GPS works to solve.

The company provides fleet tracking, telematics, and AI camera systems that give businesses real-time visibility into their vehicles — where they are, how they’re being used, and what’s happening on the road. The focus is on operational clarity for companies managing daily work across multiple units.

At OJBA, Meyer Dresdner explained that High Point GPS partners with Geotab, a global telematics platform used by millions of vehicles worldwide. While Geotab typically serves very large fleets — those with 10,000 units or more — High Point works as a reseller, making the same technology accessible to smaller and mid-sized companies that want enterprise-level tracking without enterprise-scale requirements.

“Someone should be able to see exactly where his unit is, where his fleet is,” Meyer said. “In real time.”

The system updates continuously, allowing companies to monitor routes, vehicle status, and activity as it happens. AI cameras can be added to provide additional visibility. Meyer noted that some insurance carriers now offer discounts to fleets using advanced tracking and camera systems — a recognition of how the technology affects both risk management and operational accountability.

High Point GPS has been operating for 13 years, supporting companies that rely on vehicles to keep work moving. The technology is used across industries where knowing location, timing, and usage matters… for efficiency, accountability, and dispute resolution.

This was Meyer’s first time exhibiting at OJBA. The reason for his coming was straightforward.

“I’m a salesman,” he said . “To get sales.”

That directness carried through conversations at the booth. Contractors and operators stopped by with practical questions — how tracking works day to day, how it scales across fleets, and what kind of insight companies actually gain once the system is in place.

For businesses running vehicles in the field, that clarity can change how decisions are made… replacing assumptions with real data, and guesswork with visibility.

Listen as Meyer explains how High Point GPS provides real-time visibility for companies managing fleets in the field.
