Complete Pool Systems from Foundation to Function
With Yisroel Rosenberg Of Poolux Builders
Most people think building a pool is simple: dig, pour concrete, and you’re done.
But a working pool is much more than that. Without the right plumbing, wiring, and water balance, even the best-looking install won’t run properly, or safely.
That’s the gap Poolux Builders set out to close.
They’ve built a business on doing it right from the ground up, and it’s made a difference for residential and commercial clients across the region.
Founded by Yisroel Rosenberg (who goes by “Yiddish” — a name clients don’t forget), the company serves both residential and commercial clients across New York and New Jersey.
It all started when a family member wanted a fiberglass pool, but no local contractors offered that service. “I did the research, found suppliers, and went to Tennessee for hands-on training,” Yisroel explained.
He also completed formal programs — some online, some in person — and brought in instructors to supervise his early builds until he was confident in every step. When fiberglass proved too limited in size for many local families, he expanded into gunite (concrete) and vinyl liner systems.
Today, Poolux takes on everything from backyard installs to commercial builds for bungalow colonies, camps, hotels, and multi-family developments. Recent work includes rooftop pools in Brooklyn and basement spas in residential homes.
“It’s not just construction,” Yisroel said. “I have to think like an engineer, wire like an electrician, plumb like a master, and make sure the water stays balanced.” His ten-person team brings all that know-how to each job.
Hotel pools start at a minimum of $300,000 a serious investment. But aging camps and facilities also drive steady demand, especially when decades-old systems need replacement or renovation.
Much of the company’s growth comes through SEO, Google Ads, and referrals. And that name — Yiddish — often sparks instant connection. “People call and say, ‘Oh, you speak Yiddish? So we can talk properly.’ That makes a difference.”
The 2023 OJBA Expo brought in Poolux’s largest job yet: five pools for a bungalow colony upstate. “The right people are here,” Yisroel said. “I don’t need everyone to stop by, just the developers, builders, and contractors who know what they need.”
This past year, he returned with a visual portfolio of completed work, showing pools that deliver both aesthetic appeal and lasting performance.
