Furnishing Workspaces with Budget in Mind
Baruch Samuel of Score Spaces
Furnishing a workspace means more than selecting furniture. Offices and professional environments need to be planned in a way that supports how people work — how teams move, how departments connect, and how space is used day to day.
That balance has become more important in 2025, as budgets tighten.
“In 2025, people are looking at their pockets much more,” said Baruch Samuel of Score Spaces. “They want to stay within their budgets and make sure they spend the right money.”
Based in Brooklyn, New York, Score Spaces works with clients to plan and furnish workspaces — combining layout, furniture selection, and custom-built elements where needed. The focus is on delivering what clients plan, within the budget they start with.
That range shows up across very different types of projects.
“From one chair to a nursing home — everything in between,” Samuel said.
Score Spaces has been a returning corporate sponsor at OJBA for four years. Samuel said the show consistently brings both visibility and business, and pointed to one meeting from last year’s event in particular: at 10:05 in the morning, at the same table, a man stopped by while walking the floor. He was building an office.
“To make it short, we closed $350,000 on this one person,” Samuel said.
This year, Samuel invited that client back to the show — gave him free tickets for himself and his team. They came, stopped by the booth, and drank L’Chaim.
