Flooring Systems Built from the Base Up

Yiddy Grunfeld of UniqFloorz

Floors often look simple once a building is finished — but getting them that way takes more work than most people realize.

An uneven surface can affect everything that comes later, from the final finish to long-term durability. For many commercial spaces, developers are increasingly turning to poured flooring systems that create smooth, continuous surfaces without visible joints.

UniqFloorz installs these types of poured flooring systems.

The company installs poured floor systems for commercial buildings, including polished concrete, terrazzo-style finishes, flake systems, and liquid marble. These materials create durable surfaces suited to offices, warehouses, and other high-traffic environments.

Liquid marble, one of the company’s more customizable options, is also becoming popular in residential spaces. Because the material is poured and finished on site, designers can incorporate patterns, swirls, and color variations directly into the floor.

“We do seamless floor solutions,” said Yiddy Grunfeld. “We don’t do tile or vinyl. This is a niche industry.”

Recently, the company expanded its capabilities with the launch of Baseline Leveling, a new division focused on preparing subfloors before the finished flooring system is installed.

In many buildings, concrete slabs are not perfectly level when construction reaches the finishing stages. Self-leveling systems create the smooth base required before polished concrete, liquid marble, or other poured floors can be applied.

With that step now handled in-house, UniqFloorz can take projects from floor preparation through the final installation. That allows contractors and developers to work with a single flooring partner rather than coordinating separate leveling and finishing crews.

UniqFloorz works on both commercial and residential projects throughout the region, with installations in office buildings, warehouses, and building lobbies, where poured floors combine durability with design flexibility.

UniqFloorz returns to OJBA each year to meet contractors, developers, and designers working across the construction industry. The show gives the team an opportunity to explain the type of flooring they specialize in, connect with contractors and developers, and stay in touch when new projects arise.

“You have so many people in the industry here,” Grunfeld said. “Contractors, developers, designers — everyone comes through.”

In the video below, Yiddy Grunfeld explains how UniqFloorz approaches poured flooring systems and the addition of its Baseline Leveling division.
